Cirko organizes an open call for residencies, its seasonal programme and co-productions once a year. Programme and residency calls will be open until August 11th, 2025 10am.

Cirko develops Finnish contemporary circus
One of the main tasks for Cirko is to develop circus as an art in Finland. Our residency programme for artists is the cornerstone of this work. Cirko supports artists with artistic, productional, technical, communicational, and administrative consulting if the artist so wishes. Circus artists can even apply Cirko’s membership that includes benefits i.e. membership priced tickets and short-time training periods at Cirko’s spaces etc.
Cirko is also an active member of international networks in the field of contemporary circus. Networks are aiming for accelerating interaction and dialogue between organisations and artistic groups and creating joint programs and models to support artistic work and touring productions. In addition Cirko is taking part of different projects with an aim to increase status of contemporary circus locally, nationally and globally.
