Lightsphere: Night of the Arts at Cirko

Lightsphere: Night of the Arts at Cirko

Lightsphere is an immersive art installation that invites viewers of all ages to explore the different dimensions of light and perception.

As part of the Night of the Arts programming Lightsphere will be presented at Cirko in Suvilahti first during the daytime for families and reframed with new soundscapes and drink service for adults in the evening. Lightsphere is created by Opus Company in collaboration with Cirko and Peloton Cycling Eatery.

Lightsphere comprises of multiple large scale spheres that act as a canvas for an
interactive constellation of colourful light. In the installation, light becomes a medium for play through the presence and interactions of the spectator.

The lights, in combination with soundscapes, engage the viewer in a multi-sensory dialogue, encouraging them to move, observe, and interact with the installation.

Opus Company creates live performances merging contemporary circus, physical theatre, illusion and large-scale installation art:
“Central to our artistic exploration is the concept of circus dramaturgy—an approach that delves into the psychological and emotional dimensions of the human experience. Our performances question the traditional confines of circus, exploring the realms of illusion and blurring the lines between what is real and what is imagined. By intertwining physicality, symbolism, and metaphor, we seek to unravel the complexities of the human condition.”
