circusnext residency: Aurora Dini

circusnext 2026 finalist Aurora Dini is an Italian circus artist based in France. After different professional experiences (collective creation, stage and street performance, actress for theater company, assistant director, educational circus workshop in schools, non-dedicated spaces show), today she feels artistically enriched and excited to bring a solo piece to life. This is why she is in Cirko doing the first residency of her project, Sola. A show with aerial hoop, contortion and text, about the body memory of pain, exploring also what makes the crafts of the artist on stage and the anesthesiologist in the operating theater so close.

During this work period of deep research, Aurora could finally try to make palpable lots of ideas and pictures that live in her mind from the very beginning of the creative process, seeking to frame what is relevant to the dramaturgy of the show. Circus is approached through endurance and for texts she is accompanied by the theater author Cédric Orain.

An Open Rehearsal will be held at Cirko on Wed 25.2. @ 13.30.

The open rehearsal will be the result of this chaotic and still indispensable exploration.
