Recover Laboratory: Nonstop Paradise

Recover Laboratory: Nonstop Paradise

The performance is part of the Helsinki Circus Festival programme

Nonstop Paradise is a hedonistic celebration of contemporary circus, performance, and sound and video art, striving towards paradise, hand in hand with both its pleasures and its horrors.

Nonstop Paradise is a fusion of performance, media art and contemporary circus. The work is a hedonistic celebration that destroys everything, just like the 2020s lifestyle. The circus-erotic performance reveals the individual’s tendency towards pleasure, daydreaming and perfectionism. The ideas are simple, but extremely romantic and therefore doomed to destruction. Beauty floats upside down and turns into horror.  The most touching connection is the recognition of the ugliness of the other and oneself, as well as death.
